Oshimiri Ataata
Day 110/300
For the longest time, I thought drinking deeply from God only meant praying for long hours.
I thought the more words I poured out, the more I drank from Him.
Until one day while praying, I found myself repeatedly saying, “Lord, I want to drink of You” and gently, the Holy Spirit shifted my understanding.
He made me realize that I cannot truly hunger for God while neglecting His Word.
Immediately, the story of the woman at the well came alive in my heart. Jesus told her that He is the living water and anyone who drinks from Him will never thirst again.
Then the Holy Spirit connected that verse to John 1:1. This made me understand that Jesus is not only the giver of the Word.
He is the Word.
So if Christ is the living water, and Christ is also the Word, then one major way we drink deeply from Him is through the Scriptures.
The Bible is not meant to sit closed beside us while we search everywhere else for depth in God.
The Scriptures is one of the ways your eyes is opened to understand who God really is. Sometimes I read my Bible and wonder if I really know His ways.
I meannnn,
Through the Word, mysteries are revealed.
Through the Word, He corrects us.
Through the Word, He strengthens us.
Through the Word, He pours understanding into us again and again.
Prayer is as beautiful as worship, I love both and I’m sure God loves both too, but that day I felt the Holy Spirit was saying, “try dey read your Bible too in the right proportion.”
More like try dey chop balanced diet.
The Word of God must never be sidelined or replaced with either forms of expression because sometimes, drinking from the river that never runs dry looks like sitting quietly with your Bible open while the Holy Spirit teaches your heart.
Bottom line: Read your Bible today🫵🏻
Byeeee ❤️
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”John 1:1

Try to dey chop balanced diet. Wordd.🙌
The beautiful thing is prayer is also born and strengthened when we dwell in the Word.
What is Oshimiri ataata 😭😭😭!
